GENERAL INFORMATION
Once arrived at the International Airport Simon Bolivar in Maiquetia, after having collected your baggage and passed the customs, the you will have to go to our office, which is situated right before the main exit of the terminal on the right side (Roquemar, see photo). Our staff that speaks English, is waiting there to welcome you and to give you assistance (transfer to national flight terminal, hotel, change of currency etc.). The airlines that fly Caracas - Los Roques - Caracas are: Rainbow/Makoro, Aerotuy/LTA, Chapy Air/Blue Star. The flight round trip ticket is about 150 Euro. The last daily flight starts from Maiquetia at about 16.30. In case that for problems not depending on us (delay of arrival international flyght, baggage reclaim, custom control etc) the daily connecting fly should not be possible, we will care for your overnight stay in a hotel near the airport which has an agreement with us and check you in on the next fly available the following morning. Please note that every airline that flies Maiquestia – Los Roques allows personal baggage up to 10 Kg. For every overweight a tax of USD 1,00/Kg will be applied.
Overland Transport
Starting from your arrival, all your transfers between the terminals or terminals and hotel will be organized by our office at the international terminal of Simon Bolivar airport in Maiquetia. At the return from Los Roques, there are often some free hours till the international flight: to fill up this waiting, we organize transfers to Caracas, a metropolis you have to visit absolutely before leaving Venezuela.
Sea Transport
In a few months the restructuring of Mary Elena, an elegant motor yacht equipped with 4 double cabins, private bathroom and all mod cons, will be terminated. It will be possible to charter Mary Elena either for navigation to/from Caracas / Los Roques, for cruising between the Venezuelan islands or for coastal navigation, perhaps to get through the hours waiting for your international flight. All this will give an additional touch to your holiday in the Caribbean. |
