In the archipelago the following sport are exercised:
SAILING
Due to the NE trade-wind the archipelago is ideal for sailing sports. For the ones who appreciate sailing, different catamarans and sailing boats are available, for one day trip or long time charter.
WINDSURF AND KITESURF
A few minutes from Grand Roque, on Francisquì island , it is possible to hire the boards.
FISHING
Fishing is certainly the less famous activity on Los Roques, even if this is a real paradise for the fans of this sport: it is possible to organize fishing days (barracuda, bonefish, tunafish and others) on board of fishing boats throughout the whole archipelago, as well as to practise surf casting. Fly fishing is practiced especially for catching bonefish or tarpon. One can have fun with this kind of fishing from the beach of Gran Roque, but the more demanding anglers can rely on professional guides (speaking different languages) and rent a boat for daily fishing.
SNORKELING AND DIVING
Due to its incredible biodiversity, the archipelago offers unforgettable performances for the under-water sport fans, either for snorkeling or for diving with air cylinder. Immersions for all levels with highly qualified instructors are organized for the diving fans. If you don’t have flippers, mask and snorkel, it is possible to hire them on Grand Roque.
